The sequel, in three dimensions

Same premise as the original. But so much cooler.

Play hide and seek with your friends on a warm summer night. Hide behind bushes as the cops search for you, and make your way to the end zone without getting caught. If a friend gets frozen by the police, you have to decide whether it's worth going back to rescue them.

Or be the cops, driving around in your cruiser and shining your flashlight into the dark corners.

What's in it

  • VR or flat, play together

    Headset players and mouse-and-keyboard players share a server. Nobody has to sit a round out.

  • Server browser

    Public servers so easy to join, even your friends can do it.

  • Positional voice chat

    Voices carry from where the speaker is standing. You can hear the fugitives whispering in the bushes as you search.

  • Round replays

    When the round ends, everyone watches it back together and argues about how close you came.

  • Runs on a phone

    There's an Android build, so the friend with no headset and no gaming PC can still join in.

  • Free and open source

    MIT licensed code, CC0 art. Read it, fork it, or host your own server.

Pick a side

  • As a Cop

    Your job is to hunt down the Fugitives and bring them to justice. It's a dark night out, and they are good at hiding, so you'll have to get them in your flashlight to see them. Luckily you've got your trusty cop car. You can quickly patrol the streets, picking up your fellow cops and dropping them off strategically around the town.

  • As a Fugitive

    You're on the run, but Johnny law is in hot pursuit. You'll have a few seconds head start, so stay out of sight. You have to reach the safe zone to escape. But if the Cops see you, you're as good as dead.

Run your own server

The server build is a plain executable. These flags control what it does.

--port 31000
The port to bind to. Defaults to 31000.
--name "My Server"
The name players see in the server browser.
--public
Advertises the server in the public server browser.
--nolan
Stops the server advertising itself to clients on the local network.
--nostats
Stops the server reporting anonymous gameplay statistics.

Anonymous statistics from public servers feed the live stats page: games played, average round length, and how often each side wins.
